The LX708, LX706, and LX705 will not output sound from the internal speakers if a conversion plug (adapter) remains inserted in either Phones jack, even after the headphones have been disconnected.
Check both Phones jacks and remove any conversion plug or adapter still inserted.
Turn the [] (Volume) knob to adjust the speaker volume.
