The LVS-400's DSP (Digital Signal Processor) is designed for standard 4:3 NTSC video only. Some, but not all, modified 16:9 SD signals will be processed, but they will usually result in geometric distortion (squeezing) of the output image. If your facility is determined to display a 16:9 image, then you should move up to an HD video workflow. If your budget cannot support the move to HD, you should remain in the stadnard NTSC workflow and employ 4:3 NTSC equipment.
