Check the following points if you’re having trouble activating the AeroCaster Switcher app.
Internet connection for the iPad and computer
If the iPad on which the AeroCaster Switcher app is running is not connected to the Internet, the message “The activation URL could not be obtained. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet and click the Start Activation button again” is shown. Connect the iPad and the computer to the same Wi-Fi network.
USB connection between the computer and video switcher
When activating, connect your computer and a Roland video switcher that supports USB streaming beforehand with a USB cable. If the devices are not correctly connected, the message “Cannot find a video switcher that supports USB streaming to activate. Make sure that the appropriate model is connected to your computer” is shown.
Restart the AeroCaster Switcher app
Activation might fail after you press the “Activation Start” button if authentication could not be done in your computer’s Web browser and the activation screen remains open for a long time, or if you’ve moved the app to the background. Restart the AeroCaster Switcher app and try activating again.
Is your computer recognizing a device that supports activation?
If you’re using a Windows PC, check the status of the relevant device in Device Manager.
Type of browser
Use Google Chrome to activate the AeroCaster Switcher app.
Giving permission to use the camera
You need to give permission in order to use the camera in Google Chrome. If a dialog box appears while the activation screen that’s requesting camera access is open, click the [Allow] button. If a dialog box does not appear, click the padlock icon to the left of the address in the activation screen to open the Chrome settings. Click on “Site settings” and then check the “Camera” settings. If the camera is set to “Block,” change it to “Allow.”
