Commercially available USB Type-C to Lightning cables cannot be used for this. Be sure to use only the included USB Type-C to Lightning cable to charge or transfer data to/from the VRC-01 and the iPad.
NOTE: The included USB Type-C to Lightning cable is an Apple MFi-certified cable that’s only for use with the VRC-01.
As an alternative, you can use the following to connect any USB-C to USB-A cable:
Apple "Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter" (MK0W2AM/A)
- For iPads with Lightning
- Adds charging, but no HDMI out
- HDMI output requires an iPad model with a USB-C connector
Apple "Lightning to USB Camera Adapter" (MD821AM/A)
- For iPads with Lightning
- No charging or HDMI out
