As the expansion is installed into the System Program of the TR-8, executing a Factory Reset won't delete the 7X7 expansion in the TR-8.
Please check first that your TR-8 is up to date with the latest System Program Version before installing the 7X7 expansion: TR-8 Downloads
Executing a Factory Reset of the TR-8:
- While holding down the [CLEAR] button, turn on the power.
The display indicates “rSt” and the [START/STOP] button blinks. If you decide to cancel the factory reset, turn off the power. - Press the [START/STOP] button to execute the factory reset.
- When the display indicates “CNP,” turn the TR-8’s power off, then on again.
