MC-505: How Do I Perform a Factory Reset?

To restore the MC-505 to its default factory settings, follow the procedure below.

Note: Performing initialization will erase all user data. Be sure to back up any data you want to keep to a memory card (S-2M5 or S-4M5) before proceeding.

1. Turn the power off.
2. While holding down the [SHIFT] button, turn the power on.
3. Press the [ENTER] button.
   A confirmation message appears.
4. Press the [ENTER] button.
   The initialization process begins. The procedure takes approximately 4 minutes.
   Note: Do not turn off the power while initialization is in progress.
