On the VERSELAB MV-1 it is possible to audition and scroll through different drum kits using the following method. This function can also be performed while a sequence is playing:
- Press [NOTE] in PAD MODE section.
- Press [SEQ] under WORKFLOW.
- Press [KIT] in DRUM TRACKS section.
- Create a rhythm pattern - The following buttons are lit: [NOTE] [SEQ] [KIT].
For instructions on how to create a rhythm pattern using the Drum Kit see below or the Owner's Manual on page 26. - Once the rhythm pattern has been created, press [SECTION SELECT] under PAD MODE - The following buttons are lit: [SECTION SELECT] [SEQ] [KIT].
- Press the [VALUE] dial (PUSH ENTER) 3 times to go to PRESET > All Number > DRUM KIT and scroll through the Kits.
- Press the [NOTE] button to play the pads 1-16.
How to Create a Rhythm Pattern:
Create a rhythm pattern by specifying the steps that play sound for each drum instrument.
- Follow the steps in “Selecting a Clip” (p. 19) to select the clip for the phrase you want to create.
- Press the [NOTE] button to switch the pads to Note mode.
- Press pads [1]–[16] to select the drum instrument you want to input.
- Press the STEP SEQUENCER [1]–[16] buttons to specify the steps on which the drum instrument plays. This inputs the notes.
- Repeat steps 3–4.
