On the Roland S-1, you can sequence in triplets by setting Pattern Scale (P.SCL) to a triplet value and setting the pattern's last step to match a full measure.
Example: eighth-note triplets in 4/4 time
- Hold down [SHIFT] and press pad [15] (MENU).
- Turn [TEMPO/VALUE] to select "P.SCL" (Pattern Scale), then press pad [2] (ENTER).
- Turn [TEMPO/VALUE] to select "8t" (eighth-note triplet).
- Hold down [SHIFT] and press pad [4] (LAST).
- Turn [TEMPO/VALUE] to set the last step to "12" (4 beats x 3 eighth-note triplets = one 4/4 measure).
- Press pad [1] (EXIT) to return to the previous screen.
For other time signatures or triplet values (16t, 32t), multiply the number of beats per measure by 3 to get the last step count. See "Using the menus" in the S-1 Owner's Manual for other P.SCL values.
