If the Roland S-1 or another AIRA Compact unit connected via USB to a Mac is not recognized as a USB MIDI device, check the following points.

Use a cable that supports data transmission. Charging-only cables cannot be used. If the Mac has multiple USB ports, try a different port. |

| macOS version | Recognition as a MIDI device can depend on the macOS version. Try connecting the unit via USB while the DAW is already running, to see if it is then recognized. |
| AIRA LINK mode | Set AIRA LINK mode to OFF when connecting to a computer. See "Connecting to a computer or mobile device" in the S-1 Owner's Manual for how to turn AIRA LINK mode off. |
