For Windows 10/11, the download and installation process starts automatically when you connect the GT-1000/GT-1000CORE to a USB port on a computer that is online. Make sure to use a USB cable capable of data transfer to connect your GT-1000/GT-1000CORE to the computer.
- Update both the system version of the GT-1000/GT-1000CORE and Windows 10/11 to the latest version, and then make the USB connection. The latest System Program can be downloaded from the following page.

GT-1000CORE System Program: BOSS - GT-1000CORE | Guitar Effects Processor - The time required to install depends on your Internet connection and computer environment. Connect the USB cable, and then check the connection using Device Manager after waiting for several minutes.
Note: If it does not install automatically, please download the driver from https://www.boss.info/us/products/gt-1000/downloads/ and install it manually. Also, refer to the related article "Windows 10: Driver Installation and Troubleshooting Instructions".
How to check the Device Manager for proper installation
- Right-click the Start button (Windows icon) in the lower left of the Desktop, and then click Device Manager.
- Double click “Sound, video and game controllers” to expand it.
- If “GT-1000” is listed, double click it to open the Properties.
- If the message “This device is working properly...” appears in the Device Status box, installing has successfully done.
