The Roland TR-8S can be restored to its factory settings with Factory Reset.
Note: To keep your patterns, kits, and system settings, back them up to an SD card (SD/SDHC, up to 32GB, formatted on the TR-8S) before the reset. For the procedure, refer to “Backing Up Data to SD Card (BACKUP)” in the TR-8S Reference Manual.
- Press the [UTILITY] button.
The UTILITY screen appears. - Use the [VALUE] knob to select “UTILITY: Factory Reset.”
- Press the [ENTER] button.
The target selection screen appears.- ALL: Returns all settings including patterns and kits to their factory-set state.
- KITS: Returns only the kit settings to their factory- set state.
- PTN: Returns only the patterns to their factory-set state.
- Use the [VALUE] knob to select the target, and press the [ENTER] button.
A confirmation message appears. - To execute, use the [VALUE] knob to select “OK,” and press the [ENTER] button.
If you decide to cancel, use the [VALUE] knob to select “Cancel,” and then press the [ENTER] button. - When the display indicates “Completed. Turn off power.” turn the TR-8S’s power off and on again.
