If the SP-404MK2's input sound is distorted, check the following.
For audio input to the INPUT jack (mic, guitar, etc.)
- Adjust the output level on the input device
- Adjust the input level using the [GAIN] knob on the front panel
- Adjust the recording level (press [REC] → "RECORD SETTING" → [CTRL 3] knob)
- If using an effect, turn it off or adjust its settings
For audio input to the LINE IN jack
- Adjust the output level on the input device
- Adjust the recording level (press [REC] → "RECORD SETTING" → [CTRL 3] knob)
- If the issue persists, enable the attenuator ([SHIFT] + pad [13] → "SYSTEM" → "GAIN" → "Attenuator")
- If using an effect, turn it off or adjust its settings
For USB audio input
- Adjust the volume on your computer or mobile device. The USB IN volume cannot be adjusted on the SP-404MK2.
