On the Roland TR-6S Rhythm Performer, upbeats can be hard to hear when SHUFFLE is set to an extreme value. The timing of each upbeat overlaps the adjacent downbeat.
Hold down the [SHUFFLE] button and turn the [VALUE] knob to set SHUFFLE closer to the center value.
