If your T-8 is not recognized as a USB MIDI device when connected to a Mac, check the following.
USB cable |
Make sure that the USB cable supports data transmission. USB charging cables cannot be used. If your Mac has multiple USB ports, try plugging in to a different port. |

macOS version |
The AIRA Compact may not be recognized as a MIDI device when plugged into your Mac via USB, depending on the macOS version you’re using. Try connecting the unit via USB while your DAW is running, to see whether the unit is recognized. |
AIRA LINK mode |
When connecting this unit to your computer, set AIRA LINK mode to “OFF”. Refer to “Connecting to a Computer or Mobile Device” in the T-8 Owner’s Manual for how to turn AIRA LINK mode off. |
